Directors who have turned up more than once

A few directors have turned up more than once already, which is a clue in itself once you learn to spot the style. Here are the repeats, by number.

#0024 and #0047 came from the same director. One recreates a wartime evacuation across overlapping timelines, the other follows the physicist behind the atomic bomb. He is known for shooting on film rather than digital and for bending time in his plots.

#0040 and #0054 share a director too. Both are revenge stories told in chapters with on-screen titles, and both run long stretches of sharp dialogue straight into sudden violence. Once you have seen one, the other is unmistakable.

Spotting a director is a useful skill in KINO. The clue names them outright on the third reveal, but if you can recognise their style before then, from the artwork or the kind of story it is, you can often get there a clue or two early.
