Every KINO puzzle ends on the reveal. Win or lose, it's the screen you land on once the guessing's done, and it's become my favourite part of the game to work on. It's the bit that gives something back after the puzzle's had its go at you.
At the top is the answer and how you did, as a row of squares you can share. Below that is where it gets useful. There's a synopsis, so if the title beat you, or you got it but never actually watched it, you can see what it is. The trailer's embedded underneath, so you can watch it without leaving the page. And it lists where you can watch the title in the UK, from streaming services to rentals.
The thinking behind all of it is that you should come away from a puzzle knowing more than you did going in. Plenty of people play, lose, and think they've never even heard of the thing. The reveal turns that into: never heard of it, and now here's the trailer and somewhere to watch it tonight. A guess you got wrong becomes something worth an evening.
It's also the one screen where you see the artwork in full. During the puzzle it starts blurred and sharpens with every guess. On the reveal it's finally all there.
I keep tinkering with what belongs here. The test I use is whether it helps you enjoy the film rather than just the puzzle. Anything that helps on that count stays in, and the rest comes out.
Want to see it properly? Play #0047, a recent one with a proper trailer and a full where-to-watch list, and stay on the screen once you've finished.
