How to build a KINO streak

13 July 2026

KINO keeps a streak for you, and once you've got a few days going you really don't want to break it. Here is how it works and how to protect it.

Only the daily puzzle counts towards your streak. The back catalogue is there to play as much as you like, but those games don't touch your stats, so you can practise on them with nothing at stake. Miss a day on the daily, though, and the streak resets to zero.

So the whole trick is turning up. Play the daily before the day rolls over, even when you're not feeling sharp. A late guess on the fifth clue still keeps the run alive. Skip the day entirely and it ends.

If you like to warm up first, spend a few minutes on the back catalogue before you open the daily. Try #0006: same clue structure, nothing at stake, and you get your eye in. The tips help here too, especially using the year to rule guesses out.

One thing to watch: your streak lives on your own device, not on a server, so clearing your browser data wipes it. If you're proud of a long run, leave your KINO site data alone.
